   Not I said the little red hen.  I hope you get a better answer
than I can give you.

   I have the same problem in one batch file.  I really have no
idea what causes it.  A wild guess would be a DOS program that runs
in protected mode.  I get around the problem with a keyboard
stuffer.  If you have one you might give it a try.  Mine looks like
this:

kpush 3 CR 3

   I like kpush because it is not a TSR.  You will find it in
HORST32.ZIP available at http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc.
