Hello Wayne -

There is a link at my website for {COMMO}, I think from the
utilities page.
WC> I had no trouble setting that one up. Nor Panther for that

No, but {COMMO} has a macros page that controls it's functions.
Could be that is what you are thinking of.
WC>> Panther had an auto-scripter too though not perfect with a

Seems to me 'Panther' had a name change. I might have a link to
that one stored here somewhere.

It was a large install for a DOS app and a bit overwhelming at
first.

Nothing wrong with keeping icons in the taskbar, I do that too.
WC> Two 128 Meg RAM DIMMs on order so I'll be upping that from

I have 192 meg. One of the memory sticks was a slower speed and
was bogging down the OS so I took it out.

I'm not certain W98 supported USB or maybe it was an early
version of USB. Can't remember.
WC> but I can always pull the drive from case and set it up
WC> slave and xcopy32 over with appropriate switches.
I don't recommend using xcopy32 there can be problems. Imaging
software or actual backup software is a better idea IMO. If you
do use xcopy32 the switches are 'RICHKEY'.
WC> I may have to check into the prices on Win 2K.
The main difference for a home user is that W2K can shrug off
crashed third party apps most of the time. I've had two or
three windows lock up on me and can bring up taskmanager and
just 'kill' them and go right back to whatever I was doing. I
leave the machine on for weeks at a time and usually only
reboot when I make registry changes.
