The following is a re-post:
SB> Hacks, wanna-be's, phony-balonies, delusional... See also Larry...
LG> Hey! Smile when you say that....
LG> or did you mean as in "Lawrence"?
Go to the head of the EIB Class!
To "pull a 'Larry'" is, indeed, to imitate Larry Lawrence (not
imitating a corpse -- but to do that lying, self-aggrandizing,
self-inflating, exaggeration thing... hehehehe...)...
I guess we can make it a part of everyday speech:
"I told a 'Larry'"
"I am a 'Larry'"
"I told a little white 'Larry'"
"Tell me a 'Larry-tale', Daddy"
"I 'Larryed' my way to the top"
or should that be "I 'Larryed' my way to the bottom"?
Or, how about some Song Titles:
"Larry Me Back to Ol' Arlington"
"Larry Me, Bill"
"Larry, Larry"
"Tell a Little Lie for Me, Demmie Larry"
