If MPTS is not starting or not closing properly you don't have your network
stuff installed properly. It may well be working OK, but your ability to
effect changes is significantly reduced. Do you run any utility that sorts
the config.sys? Position inside the config.sys can be extremely critical. Did
you install MPTS when you added the network stuff or did you decline MPTS and
end up with the smaller/older LAPS/NAPS stuff?
Also, Netbeui is actually netbios, just newer and a bit more encompassing.
