no, i'm not claiming that at all... netmail does not require an origin
line... many people, end users especially, don't care about that part as
they will generally already know where the individual who sent the
email/netmal is... how? via exchanges in echomail (hehehe)

in any case, there are/were reasons for altering the origin line when
gating from one FTN to another. BlackHole is one FTNFTN tosser
that i'm aware of. it does this altering and has done it since it was
developed. it's part of the docs that BH was designed around. i'm not sure
where all the spec came from but i know that some of it is covered in the
old, defunct Echopol document... i'm sure that there is also a FSC that
convers it but i've no time to research it further at the moment...
