Hello Roy. 03 Sep 03 04:06, you wrote to me: RT> I dunno. I'm not real happy with the situation as it sits right now. Assuming I can find RT> that HOWTO you mentioned a while back about how to do this. :-) /usr/doc/Linux-mini-HOWTOs/Hard-Disk-Upgrade It is your friend. Maybe even not charge RT> them, I could deal with that externally, if I had to. I am thinking along that line but still am holding my ground as to minimal power consumption no matter if AC or DC. Also the gel batteries as backup since they will go the distance. If I were considering handhelds then I'd obviously have to alter that way of thinking. However, if I am thinking of an onboard computer system in a vehicle, such as boats, planes, cars, trucks, etc. then the gel batteries make perfect sense, especially for boats as they also use gel batteries as a rule. However so does a powered wheelchair which is what started this way of thinking in the first place. RT> Backup? :-) Heh, heh. RT> I'll be doing this from one drive to another before I try and do it RT> "in place" on any given drive... Sounds good.
