MWÝYou might try adding S191=124 to your modem init string and retesting.
ÝThat will sometimes get the modem to connect at a faster speed. That
Ýbeing said, although you may connect at a higher speed, if the phone
Ýlines are not of sufficient quality, the actual throughput may drop
Ýwhen connected faster since there will be increased errors and resends
Ýof data lowering the overall performance.
I realize the lines are probably the source.. and I'll try your suggestion.
Thanks..
MWÝNot in the modem you have. The domestic SupraExpress series modems do
Ýnot have NVRAM for storing profiles.
That explains the lack of success..[g]

MWÝThere is a rom upgrade for that model, please let me know your name,
Ýaddress, phone number, and provide the modem information you have
Ýprovided already (I need all the information together) and I'll get one
Ýsent.
