| subject: | Caps Lock Key. |
Hi Reece, RI> you were right of course about the CAPS LOCK key :-) RI> key but it is possible to use the RGB screen from the 64 mode. Yup, but that is another topic completely. RI> RGB Char Set. In it the caps lock is used to toggle the 2Mhz/1Mhz Thats what I said, but I repeat, this *isn't* a funtion of the key itself, it is just that the programer coded the program to acheive this effect.. he/she could've used the 40/80, ESC, TAB, ALT or any other key to produce the same effect. RI> speeds. You also made mention of a prog. RI> that used the fast mode from RI> the 64 mode, Another prog. is Gunship. Yeah, there are a few of them around. RI> Of interest is the fact that RI> with the RGB kit the recomendation is to RI> goto 1Mhz for disk operations. This should be more than a recomendation because it is *essential* Even the C128's Kernal routines switch back to 1Mhz mode for disk operations. Failure to do so causes all sorts of buss conflicts, ranging from bad loads/saves to complete system lock up.
