When was the last time you got docs with a floppy drive?  :-)
The above holds true only when the cable does not have a twist in it,  if it 
does they both need to be set the same,  usually the second of whatever 
choices are listed (DS1 if they're 0-3,  DS2 if they're 1-4).

That seems to have gone away in recent years,  you don't see any terminating 
options all that much any more.
