I am pretty confident that in both Outlook and Outlook Express I have
noticed that the "you have mail" icon in the system tray stays
present when unread mail is moved to a holding folder. I have had to mark
the stuff as Read to remove the icon.

Perhaps I should keep quiet because the accounts where I use Outlook and OE
get very little spam and I haven't need spam filtering.
