Hi Paul.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to try your modem.
You saved me $165 all-told, assuming that USR would have shipped
the modem to me for free, and the Sydney shop matched the 
Brisbane shop's price.  Would you like me to bring your modem 
over or do you want to come here?  I have a presumed-working
Spirit power supply to swap for your presumed-not-working one.
One day I might see if I can trade in the broken Spirit (power
supply and modem) for a working Viper.  Probably not until
