{COMMO} is freeware now too AFAIK.

When I only used dialup BBS I used Telemate for that reason. It
could write login macros for you and it could multitask from
within Telemate. You could review download file lists using the
scrollback buffer and mark them for downloading, all while
downloading files in the background and could load an editor on
top of those to write replies to echo messages. Quite unique
for the time (DOS). :-)

Another reason why I 'hide' icons on my desktop after moving as
many as possible into the 'start menus'. Difficult to
'organize' them on the desktop screen but easy to do within the
construct of the 'start menu'. I never liked the standard
install of W9x for that reason - too disorganized. Now that I
have mine organized to suit my needs I enjoy using it (W2K). :-)
