GNU, IMO, isn't the easiest to learn from, but it *is* the cheapest.  ;-)

I refuse to recommend - only give pros and cons.  Only you know your
situation well enough to make such a decision; I'll just give you some
information that will aid your decision.

Lack of API docs.  You still have access to the API.
