Yes, I've experienced the problem you are describing. "Carrier lost 1" 
problem was supposed to be solved in f/w 1.08 though.
To the moment I've not seen a f/w for the analog Elite that could be called 
"release". they are all betas ;-). Some of them are better for some 
situations but fail miserably in others. 1.11 seems to work better with USR 
and ZyXEL modems f.x.
