Johnson Space Center's Education and Student Programs Office is
hosting the second annual Engineering Career Expo from 6-9 p.m.
Wednesday, April 2, at Space Center Houston.

The event will provide a forum where 8th- through 12th-grade students
can learn more about careers in engineering - what they should be
studying in high school, what it takes to get into college, which
colleges offer degrees in engineering, what kinds of work-study
programs are available and what employers are looking for after they
graduate - and more.

NASA engineers and cooperative education students, along with
representatives from private industry and universities with colleges
of engineering, will provide literature, exhibits and demonstrations,
and be available to answer students' questions.

The event is co-sponsored by JSC, Space Center Houston and Aerospace
Academy for Engineering and Teacher Education.

Confirmed participants include the University of Texas, Texas A&M,
Texas Tech, Prairie View A&M, the University of North Texas,
LeTourneau University, Baylor, Purdue, Cornell, Georgia Tech, the
Texas Aerospace Academy, Boeing, United Space Alliance, Lockheed
Martin, Wyle Labs, GHG Corporation, Honeywell, Barrios, MRI
Technologies and Titan Systems Corporations.
