DD> A thought . . .

NZers cant have those, a deficiency between their ears or sumfin.

Pity they dont with the port speed Dave. Except fucked USRs.

DD> and if all modems store the port speed in NVRAM

As long as they actually have NVRAM, sure...

DD> and if the USR Courier is the only modem that resets the port
DD> speed on ATZ then aren't all other modems fucked by design?

Nope. The whole POINT of the INVENTION of the AT prefix on the
AT commands was to ALLOW the modem to work the port speed out.
INSTEAD of having it configured in the modem. Corse that is
presumably quite beyond the 'intellectual' capabilitys of a NZer.

DD> Isn't the Courier the only modem behaving as documented?

Nope. Poor old Dave. Baaaa.
