Yes...
...but my dad was wryly amused when people from Air Ministry were
annoyed that NO-ONE from the station's ground-crews would volunteer for
air gunner training. He said that they had hosed down too many Halifax
fuselages and fitted new rear turrets: he didn't blame them a bit.

That airframe was strong and versatile: from high altitude to low level
penetration. I would have like to crew on the BI8 version: it would
have been a blast!
