I've been running Windows on mine for about six months, no problems at all.
The cables are stiffer/thicker than UTP.. I don't think it would handle
right angles well, but it's certainly easier to route around the case
otherwise. The plugs are excellent.. just clip on and off.
I haven't seen any SATA CD/DVD drives though, which means ribbon cables for
a while longer. I also haven't seen PSUs with SATA power plugs, which
means adaptors there too.
