DC> VD> On one machine, when I try to create a connection, I get a:
DC> VD> SYS0053: The network path was not found.
DC>This says that the remote server wasn't found. Problem is either you
sking
DC>for the wrong name or the other system unable to see the netbios network,
DC>in this case the next message tells us the other machine is not bringing
p
DC>netbuei correctly. Possibly a machine name conflict.
I don't know... the compaq is SH1 and the pentium is SH2... I didn't think I
had any conflicts and it worked before and I don't recall changing anything.
Mind you, I reinstalled Warp 4 completely on the compaq and now the network
runs 100% fine? Still using the same machine names and everything else is
identical except for the defined username on the compaq is changed...
DC> VD> On the other machine, when trying to also create a
DC> VD> connection, I get:
DC> VD> SYS0059: An unexpected network error occurred.
DC>What does lantran.log say on this machine? Probably that your machine name
DC>is the same as the othe machine. Check it also (computername= in
DC>ibmlan\ibmlan.ini).
I can't check now, since it's deleted with the reinstall, but the
computername= parameters are definately not identical. SH1 and SH2...
DC>Do you even have the netbuei protocols beinmg loaded in mpts?
Ummm... don't believe so, no. Just TCP/IP, NetBIOS, and the IE... whatever
the rest of it is (just tried loading MPTS and it tells me I have locked
files so I can't check that right now...). I do not recall loading the
netbuei protocols, however, unless that is included in NetBIOS.
