If you switch the three mode lights over to "link status" instead
of "link speed", then the lights will still flash as long as
you're off-line (no CD, as I recall). I just don't look at the modem and

What do you get in response to "AT#V0I9I2I6#V1"? You may like to
try some of the following settings (after "AT&F.", these are
what I'm using):
AT L0 &D3 &K9 &T5
AT \V1
AT %M2 %U2 #A0 #B1
AT S0=0 S11=70
Yes, I know &K9 is the default. Cheers..
