While it's true that they'll bond, it may NOT ruin him as a pet. I've
got a Jenday hen, Rio, who was a pet for 6 years before she started
laying eggs. We got her a mate, and now I have TWO pets who like to
cuddle with me. (I can't, however, cuddle them separately anymore. They
don't like to be apart at all. But they DO like to both cuddle against
my chin and be petted, standing together on my hand.)
