Yeah, Belew's solo albums tend to be a bit uneven at best. I've grown
to like several other tracks on _Young Lions_, particularly "Heartbeat"
and the two on it that feature David Bowie, "Gunman", and "Pretty Pink
Rose".
LL> Also..........which "must listen to" Adrian Belew album?
Adrian Belew's best work has often been with other artists. However,
if I was going to recommend any of his projects that shouldn't be missed
I would have to suggest that you search out either of the two albums by
his late 1980s group, The Bears. Both were originally released on the
I.R.S. label, which I believe is not out of business. But as with
Belew's solo stuff, you may run across them in a delete bin sometime.
The titles are, _The Bears_ (1987) and _Rise & Shine_ (1988).
Cheers,
Martin
