David, at 22:58 on Feb 17 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... Agreed. In fact, close perusal of the last 10 days' logs have shown aftercall connect stats of 28800/26400 on EVERY call to Paul's board. The first figure relates to my receive rate, BTW. If I'm receiving data at 28800, why can't I send at the same rate (rhetorical, as I really don't care) ? db> You've mentioned that the problem might be the Sportster vs the Courier - db> entirely possible I guess. The Courier certainly does things slightly differently WRT V.32ter (which the Sportster doesn't support), as well as its proprietary "quick connects". However, Dave Drummond informs me that apart from Rod, nobody else has had retrain problems with V.32bis connects (verified too, as since following Rod's complaints, he activated his aftercall stats to check retrains, and none have been issued to any of his 14400 callers). Perhaps Paul should consider a V.34 Sportster instead ? :) Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 3.20* Origin: Logan City, SEQ (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 |
