JT>I bet they are just totally ignorant of the dangers. Wish everyone

ME too! You're probably right though--they've been selling unweaned
babies at shows so long, they don't realize how dangerous it is for the
babies. And from dealing with my 81 year old father, I know that older
folks don't always keep up on the newer safer ways of doing things. :'(
JT>I'm not going to any more bird shows. One was enough- I didn't think I
JT>could get clean enough after that.
I know the feeling. But I'll keep going as long as I'm doing the
Oxyfresh. I also have info on polyoma, Dr. Ritchie, and the vaccine out
on my table. I figure that maybe some of that info will help *somebody*.
JT>after being exposed to the sick ones in a small, enclosed building

JT>favorable situation for cross-contamination.
Oh, I know. Dr. Ritchie hates bird fairs for exactly that reason. I
stopped taking my birds about 6 years ago--Michigan had a triple
epidemic of Newcastles(!), PBFD and Psittacosis all in one summer. I
figured that a few hours of showing off my pets wasn't worth risking
their lives. Now if I have babies for sale and I'm doing a show, I put
together a photo album, and set up a sign that says "Ask me about my
baby conures". I've gotten good responses from this method.
