My guess would be that in your particuarly BIOS, it's real - I.e. it
probably gets the number in AX, then or's it into CX for the return.
However, a different BIOS canNOT be depended upon to work the same way;
I ran a test on my main machine, and unless there was an error, AX was
set to 0.
