-> JM> Yet another case, you might recall ViaMAIL! was called on the -> JM> carpet a few months back stating it was not FTS1 compliant -> JM> (which was true, it is now BTW). A quick survey of mailers -> JM> showed no less than 10 different ones were in the same boat. -> JM> At least two of them had been operating for over 2 years that -> JM> way! Talk about non-enforcement, that embarrased the daylights -> JM> out of quite a few *C's. -> -> what has been done to bring this list to light and to confer with the -> authors to FixTheirStuff or to remove the software from allowable -> fidonet?? Good question. I just concentrated on cleaning up my own back yard (making sure ViaMAIL! was compliant) and pretty much left it at that. Where the others are remains to be seen. I do know that PCBoard was in the thick of it and rumor has it that the person coding the mailer section of it left the company. Odd that a major player (PCBoard) would author a product like that and release it non-compliant. --- ViaMAIL!/WC4 v1.10g* Origin: ViaMAIL!/WC4 - The Essence of ViaVALUE!
