You will find that your calls to this "ONE modem" do not show up
as retrains in your statistics EITHER.  So you basically have no
idea whether the caller is seeing retrains unless they have a
LED display or some fancy statistics.  I only know of 2 people
with such capability, and one of them sees the retrain and one
