'cept me - I'm getting "Connect 28800/Lap-M/V.42Bis/V.34" each
and every time now, with no failed connections. Even pulled out the ol'
M7F (had to dust it off, quite literally) and tried four calls -
"Connect 14400/Rel" each time.

So we've eliminated the M34F as being the problem - we're back to either
Paul's lines, or "operator error". ROFL!! :-)

Maybe we should hold a Yak night over at Paul's place, and all bring over
our modems and favourite settings (geekdom or what?!) - let's see if it
really *is* Paul or his lines at fault. Of course, we may all end up
walking away with broken modems as a result of the exercise (exorcise?).
:-)

Cheers..
