RR> Your bad programming hits a nail on the head for me. Why

Back when the Pentium was new, and Win 95 first came out, I was
participating in a local email list made up of former BBS
members. Many of the others were going to Win 95 and Pentiums,
while I was sticking with my 486 sx25 later dx2-50 later
upgraded with an INtel 84mhz pentium adapter. The only reason
for the last upgrade was digital video.
I would argue with the others about Win 95 slowing down the
computer. Their reply was that the newer computers were so much
faster that it didn't matter. I would point out that they could
run that faster computer with DOS and make it fly even faster.
I'm stuck with Win98/xp because of some digital video software,
and because drivers for anything less are not even available
for some of the hardware. Still, all my programming is done in
basic, or Quickbasic or batch file programming. All old dos
based stuff.
