I do not know. But ancient technolgy, can sometimes be the most appropriate.
That line has a very low traffic density, and there have been serious vandal
attacks on signalling instruments.
Airliners have done beaut hands- off automated landings. I would not like to
be a passenger watching the entire flight deck crew walk down the aisle
stretching their legs!
