I know very well what it is to have peas of all kinds. When I was a kid
my cousin and I got the job of shelling peas. Literally bushels of them.
(Grin.) From my Great Aunt and Uncle's Garden, and my cousin's grandfather's
garden. Both two of the most productive gardens in the entire county. We
used to carry our pots into the livingroom, turn on the television, and watch
cartoons as we shelled. We also had pea wars, and contests to see who could
shell more peas than the next. We did this with snap green beans, and
shucking ears of corn for canning too. Saved this chore, which for kids is
pretty monotonous, from being a pain. Oh! We had contests with peeling
potatoes too. Boy does that bring back memories!
Bright Blessings
