I've not encountered that; then again, I'm not a teacher, so I wouldn't
necessarily except secondarily via someone like yourself. Of course,
there's also the fact that with some kids (such as ours) just having them in
the same house with the library and the computers is enough -- they _want_ to
learn.

Of course. That's why (IMO) you want to use as many different sources as
possible, rather than restricting yourself (and the kids) to just one or two.
That way you and they have a chance to sort through all the various biases,
identify the commonalities and the differences, and come away with a more
complete and hopefully more accurate view of the world, as well as one which
acknowleges the existence and validity of various points of view. Of
course there are those in the homeschooling community (and outside it),
including those cited at the beginning of this thread, who do not consider
the above to be a good thing. :(
