I know a lady who's plastic surgeon is likely to get a very nice Christmas
gift from her - while he was performing breast reconstruction after a
mastectomy, he found lumps in the remaining breast (which was also involved
in the reconstruction - want them to match after all). The lumps turned out
to be cancerous and very advanced - they would likely have killed her
before her next scheduled mammogram. The stuff didn't show up on the
previous mammogram because she is very muscular and muscles apparently
degrade the imaging.
