PE> You have been very quiet about naming a single terminal
PE> that behaves by adjusting baud rate after issuing an ATZ.
PE> As quiet as Ian Smith and David Drummond in fact.

DD> We've gone quiet because we realise that there
DD> are none so blind as those who will not see.

Sure you have Dave.

DD> On a USR Courier, ATZ resotres ALL seetings
DD> stored in NVRAM. This includes the port speed.

Just like ALL other modems with an NVRAM do TOO Dave.
They ALL need a speed to use after a power up of the
modem to use for a RING if they havent had an AT command.

Even the USR has enough sense to actually use the speed determined
from an AT command if it sees one of those. EXCEPT WHEN ITS AN ATZ
Dave. Unlike all the modems WHICH DO THAT EVEN WITH AN ATZ COMMAND Dave.

DD> Makes perfect sense to the rest of us . . .

Corse it does, the speed to use after a power on has to come
from somewhere, no one has yet invented a telepathic modem.

Pity that that say sweet fuck all about whether it actually makes
the slightest sense to ignore the speed determined from the AT on
an ATZ command for anything except the OK it sends back tho Dave.

Christ you NZers are fucking thick.

DD> Now tell me this:- Are you really interested in how to use the
DD> USR Courier modem, or are you only trying to win an arguement?

Just trying to get thru bone between your ears whats actually being
discussed and what a pathetic spectacle are making of yourself Dave.
