Hi to all
For those of you growing the perennial Verbena I know enough about it
to say that it loves lime in the soil. I have some Verbena canadensis
I brought in from the wild and it grows profusely in the soil I have
prepared for it. I use limestone chat and grit to mix into my flower
pots and beds. There are some acid loving plants that aren't going to
like this mix so they have to have their own bed. Verbena is one of the
first Spring flowers to bloom and I can't think of a prettier sight than
a bed of Verbena and Phlox divaricata while in full bloom.
Best wishes to all, Bill M.
