NP>EP>GP> NP> Pff, how about the anti-machine gun bill long *long* ago. As
NP>EP>GP> NP> I've understood it, the NRA backed the near outlawing of

NP>EP>GP>I wasn't around in '34, but that's what I hear the old-timers say.
NP>EP> Both of them? There aren't that many people running loose who

NP>EP> anyone here honestly say they remember it's passage? And the

NP>Does that somehow make it OK?

No, but it does make it very unlikely the "old timers" who told
that story had any idea what they were talking about. Mind
telling me where you got the idea the NRA backed the 1934
legislation? Since none of us were around then, I assume you're
quoting from the accounts of someone who *was* there. I know you
"understand" that NRA backed the legislation. I know Guy "heard
the old timers say" that NRA backed it. I'm asking who the old
timers are, that are saying these things? Did they know the
legislative process at that time? Or are these old timers just
repeating any rumor they heard? Ernie P.
