I was wondering how the pepper got its name and what the 
point of using a semi-hot pepper was.

      Title: Chili (Crockpot)
 Categories: Chili, Beef, D/g, Crockpot
      Yield: 8 servings

      3    One pound cans kidney beans
           -drained
      2    One pound cans tomatoes -
           -cut up
      2 lb Ground beef browned and
           -drained
      2 md Onions coarsely chopped
      1 c  Diced celery
      1    Glove minced garlic
      4    -6 tablespoons chili
           -powder
      1 ts Cumin
           -salt and pepper to taste

  Put all ingredients in Crockpot in order listed.  Stir once.

  Cover and cook on Low for 10 12 hours   or    High 5 - 6 hours. ==
