What do you mean, get a good compiler?  GCC IS a good compiler.  The
library is quite complete, it supports both single and multithreaded
program, and can do either EMX output or native OS/2.  Start with GCC, let
your money earn interest, and maybe you won't leave GCC.  Everything you
