No, because as well as restoring stuff from NVRAM, and I doubt
that any modem claims to restore every undocumented register
from NVRAM anyway, most modern, decent modems AUTOBAUD AS WELL.
So you're both restoring NVRAM and autobauding, and you have to
decide which one should take priority in this case. And in
this case, the autobaud is the one that SHOULD take priority, in
a properly designed modem. Because there aren't any comms
packages nor terminals on earth that change baud rate on an ATZ
in the expectation that it will go back to the speed of last AT&W.
Well certainly none that you or I know of. Whereas there are
HEAPs that will NOT change speed after you type in "ATZ". Like
ALL the ones that you and I know of. BFN. Paul.
