Ok thanks.  That rings a bell actually - is the dcpromo tool a bit unreliable or is
it OK (has anyone here used it?).  I seam to remember there being something similar
available for NT4, and I also remember anyone who wanted to use it being advised
not to....

Thanks for the link :o)  I have another one from Technet that I've been looking at
about doing an upgrade of an NT4 PDC to a Win2k AD controller.

Does anyone here have any experience of moving NT4 domains over to Win2k?  If so,
would they like to share any horror stories/ tips/ lessons learned?
