TH>real-time 'word wrapping as I type' capibility that I have noot
TH>seen in her editors.
OD>You mean like WordPerfect or NotePad do?
TH>Notepad isn't realtime wrapping, and don't try to program with WP.
OD>I don't know about you, but when I hit the border, it sends me on
OD>the next line...
Yes, but if you go back up to the previous line and delete
characters, the next lines don't wrap upwards.
TH>I don't recall it having that ability. A mispelled variable is
TH>just another variable in QB, as I recall.
OD>Hit F1 when the cursor is at the variable name, and QB will tell
OD>you what kind of variable it is, if it's global or not, etc... The
OD>online help is truly excellent.
Well, to some it's just okay. [grin]
TH>you mean. In the early days (80s) a BASIC interpreter could be
TH>found in ROMs in many PCs and XTs. Is this what you are refering
TH>to?
OD}Yes. Do they still make motherboards that have those chips?
TH>Haven't seen that in over ten years, except on industrial control
TH>systems.
OD>Yeah, that reminds me of the year 2000 problem that many
OD>systems (that are simply out-of-date) will experience.
PC BIOS clocks will take you to 2099. It's that most of the software
will only use the last two digits of the year, due to screen
formatting considerations of all things.
OD>See ya around!
Yea, it's a small world, and getting smaller.... [grin]
