There was/is a product available called Turbomaster, this will speed up
the C64 to 4mhz. (don't work in C128 mode).

What am I supposed to comment on ?
Part of the reason for the near 100% compatibilty with the CMD HD drives
is because they generally plug into the serial port, same as any other
CBM drive..  however, they do have the provision of hooking them up via
a parallel cable if you also have a Ramlink, this makes 'em 7 or 8
times faster loading.
