OOOOOps! Sorry. I've been sitting in front of this bluddy number cruncher

for about 6 hours when I sent this message to ya. I used the oportunity

for a break whilst inputting about a 147 years of family history into a

database. Guess the fingers had gone on automatic when I typed in your name.

RJ> What do you use on TMTL?

PE> Tobruk. Now ask me what I would recommend. :-)

Ok. "What do you recommend?" Just joking! What i need is the program

that you use to unpack the incoming mail and then toss it into the BBS

(whatever flavour) message bases. I used to use FroDo as a front end

with QuickBBS but cant remember what I had to do the tossing.

PE> I had a hell of a lot of problems with Maximus as my BBS, and the

PE> way I solved that problem was to force everyone to become points.

Have you doco'd the bugs you found? I wouldn't want to get into any

"discussions" with you about whether something is a feature or a bug

e.g. Spirit modems;8-}

PE> about it that piss me off. That is why I replaced Squish with

PE> Tobruk, which I have source code to (I wrote it myself). I

PE> actually still do use Squish, but that's merely to pack my

 PE> PKTs into arcmail bundles.

Can I try "Tobruk"?

PE> All told, I'm probably not a good person to be asking how to set

PE> up a general purpose BBS.

I DIDN'T SAY THAT!!!!

PE> Oh, did you know that TML has a 10-minute login time limit, no

 PE> matter who you are?

Yep!

I'll FQ FILES and see if Tobruk gets a mention.

TTFN, Robert.

... Am I having fun yet?
