While true, I don't think it has anything to do with him polling the same
person in multiple networks, unless he specifically had two "node" lines
defined for the same person, but different networks.

I have a few links here that I feed both Fidonet and Agoranet to, and have a
link definition for each node number. I've run into those same issues in the
past, so I had to make my binkd only call out one person at a time (maxclients
1). Otherwise if there was mail for said person for both networks, it would try
to poll their system at the same time for both addresses with more maxclients
defined.
