Hi Steven as this subject indirectly relates to cycling, but still does I 
just want to say that I've been wearing contact lenses for 16 years and I 
have no hassles. It will take some getting use to at the beginning, but that 
soon disappears. You will see better and clearer with contacts since you will 
be able to see all around instead of straight ahead with glasses. you can 
only understand what I mean if you try them out. usually you are allowed to a 
try out period and if you are not satisfied your money is refunded
