EOC> (chuckle) Never had that problem, personally...
GT> Consider yourself lucky.
I do. I also become uncomfortable in a room full of other mothers who tell
tales of how much their child means to them because of the number of
miscarriages they've had, or all their prenatal complications -- I can
empathize, but not sympathize -- I never had any problems with becoming a
mother.
GT> He has enough personality and leadership. He is so far
GT> ahead of kids his age that he has never had a friend
GT> his age. He's now dating a 20 yo, and he's only 16.
Sounds like the young man my stepmother's sister was seeing in the early
80's. It also sounds like he'll do okay in the work force, as long as he
doesn't pick a company that can't handle having such a mature young man in
their midst.
EOC> I've got one hyperactive stepdaughter, one physically and emotionally
EOC> handicapped stepdaughter, one petit-mal epileptic daughter and three
EOC> (joint custody) near-angelic geniuses... And only one boy in the whole
EOC> pack!
GT> Oh, how do you manage?
Joint custody is a wonderful tool, when you don't use it as a weapon against
your X... The Homeschooler/epileptic/13 y/o, Mandi, is our full-time child.
Amanda and Kimi (Hyper/13 and PEH/11) live across town with their mother, and
visit 4 days out of every 2 weeks. I have to pin down my X on Joint Custody
Rotation, and get something legitimately submitted to the court that approved
our divorce, as he's got residential custody of our three children, and we
live in different states. Both he and I are remarried. (He added an infant
step-son to the "kinder crew")
GT> I wouldn't trade my boys for anything.
A familiar sentiment. I wouldn't give up my son for $100 million...
GT> I love my daughter, but we seem to have no reference points in common.
GT> HELP!!
Is this the same teen-age daughter Glen was talking about elsewhere?? Give
me some points of reference, if you want some serious help...
B*B!
