You can request the appropriate newspapers on film as an "interlibrary    
loan" and read them yourself either at the library itself or at the Family 
History Center near you.
 
I requested some from my home town and since the public library itself did 
not have a film reader they signed them out to me and I took them to the FHC 
where I read them.  It cost $5.00 for the rental and the library allowed 5 
free requests a year so it cost nothing.
