Out here, Denny's is claiming to be removing their signs - though I
haven't checked yet. Same as several other notable chains.
Sounds like the non-posted guys won, sort of.
As a more explicit example, our local Blockbuster Video (and Blockbuster
Music) never did post. When the national decided to drop their policy as
unenforceable, the local guy was interviewed and was solidly on our side.
Should we have been boycotting him over the shortsightedness of others?
Of course not.
You can argue about boycotting local stores if the national chain is
posted, but only when the local is not really on our side. It is nonsense
to boycott someone who is actually on our side, regardless of the
national chain's policies. So at least try and make sure that you aren't
hurting your friends before you boycott an unposted store.
