Hi John I hear you when you say that you have too much space between your
seat and the handle bar. I'm sure this causes unneccesary stress on your
lower back and arms. What I suggest and I probably will not be the only one
is to change the size of your stem. That is the device that holds up your
handle bar. the stem comes in numerous lengths and what I mean is not the
length of the drop tube on the stem that adjust the height of your handle
bar, but the length of the stem that adjusts the distance you are away from
your handle bar. you need to get one that is shorter in length. To know if
you have the proper length, when sitting on your seat, place your hands on
the top of your handle bars. When looking forward the handle bar should be
blocking your view of the front hub (axle) of the wheel. If the hub is behind
the handle bar the stem length is too long and in front too short.
