db> BTPE, but since you're constantly harrassing me about using it I thought

Oh David, here's where you're wrong. I'm not constantly harrassing
you to use it, I'm telling you to "put up or shut up" about Binkley
source code.

db> I'd do "the right thing" and give it a shot. Turns out
its stuffed, and
db> I've reported as much.

Yeah right, where "stuffed" means "Doesn't compile using Turbo
Pascal on my C64 - come to think of it, Turbo Pascal doesn't
run on my C64 either. Make that 2 bugs with BTPE".

db> Since you take any conversation on the topic as an

Saying "it's stuffed" when you try to use it on an environment
that it has never been tested on, nor is claimed to work on, is
a bit rich David. If you had said "It doesn't work on Watcom
10.5" I would have said "Doesn't it? I've never tested it on
that version. Any idea whether Watcom has changed any important
defaults?"

db> legitimate "bug" (in as much as your bug in the USR is
legitimate), 'nuf
db> said, IMHO.

I am not using the USR in an unsupported environment. They
wouldn't have sold it to me if it wasn't designed to work
with RS232 interfaces and telecom phone lines. Sorry if
you can't tell the difference.

PE> Yep, BT 2.59 without source code is perfectly fine, no need to get
PE> all obsessive asking for source code to be released. BFN. Paul.

db> So Paul, why *are* you obsessed about source code being released, hmm?

So who's the one FREQing O/S to get it and then hassling Vince
about it? I on the other hand, took a punt a year or two ago
that he wasn't going to release it 2 weeks after I ported it,
so did the port, because I really wanted to be able to insert
debug info. Since then, I *laugh* at people like you madly
FREQing O/S and talking and talking and talking about the "new
version of Binkley". BFN. Paul.
